FILSCAP supports the first Philippine Popular Music Festival. The Society encourages all professional and amateur Filipino songwriters to participate in the competition.

The Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, Inc. (FILSCAP) is a non-stock, non-profit association of composers, lyric-writers and music publishers established in 1965 to administer the public performance, mechanical reproduction and synchronization rights granted by law to creators and owners of original musical works.

The KBP MOA
The KBP (Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas) signed a new Memorandum of Agreement with FILSCAP for the licensing of its member radio stations last January 10, at Café Via Mare Rockwell.

FILSCAP is an organization which secures and distributes these rewards for composers, lyricists and publishers even when the musical works are played or performed overseas. We collect license fees on behalf of our members, who, individually, may find it difficult to monitor and collect performance royalties.
